Etnobotânica e pesquisa com plantas medicinais: : aspectos teóricos e práticos

Abstract

This work covers a brief review of the fundamentals and emphasizes thepurpose of Ethnobotany, making considerations about the preparation offieldwork, essential items to be taken to the field, as well as care andprocedures that facilitate the execution of the research, alerting to thelegal issues of access to information and the importance of communityinvolvement and participation. At the end, the two ‘golden rules ofEthnobotany’ are presented. The text is the result of theoreticalknowledge and field experiences and observations of the authors,seeking to provide practical suggestions that facilitate field research, aswell as alerting about possible attitudes that may compromise or makethe research unfeasible.Este trabalho abrange uma breve revisão sobre os fundamentos eenfatiza a finalidade da Etnobotânica, tecendo considerações sobre opreparo do trabalho de campo, itens fundamentais a serem levados acampo, assim com cuidados e procedimentos que facilitem a execução dapesquisa, alertando para as questões legais de acesso às informações e aimportância do envolvimento e participação da comunidade. Ao final sãoapresentadas as duas ‘regras de ouro da Etnobotânica’. O texto resultade conhecimento teórico e experiências e observações de campo dosautores, procurando dar sugestões práticas que facilitem a pesquisa emcampo, assim como alertar sobre eventuais atitudes que podemcomprometer ou inviabilizar a pesquisa
