Challenges and Prospects of Programming Education in Educational Settings Anticipating the Arrival of the AI Era

Abstract

本研究は,AI時代における日本のプログラミング教育の現状と課題を分析し,今後の方向性を提案するものである。特に,初等教育から高等教育に至る各段階での教育内容の接続性や,専門教員の不足,地域間格差,生成AIの教育利用といった主要な課題に焦点を当てている。また,プログラミング教育を通じた論理的思考力や問題解決能力の育成の重要性を強調するとともに,防災教育や地域課題解決への応用可能性についても検討している。本研究は,教員研修の充実,柔軟なカリキュラム設計,ICT環境の整備,さらには国際事例を活用した政策立案の必要性を提言し,これらを通じて日本独自の教育モデル構築を目指すものである。This study analyzes the current state and challenges of programming education in Japan in the era of artificial intelligence (AI), and proposes directions for future development. It focuses on key issues such as the connectivity of educational content across various stages from primary to higher education, the shortage of specialized educators, regional disparities, and the use of generative AI in education. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of fostering logical thinking and problem-solving skills through programming education, as well as exploring its potential applications in disaster risk reduction education and addressing local community issues. The study advocates for enhancing teacher training, designing flexible curricula, improving ICT infrastructure, and formulating policies based on international best practices, with the ultimate goal of establishing a unique educational model for Japan.departmental bulletin pape
