Overview of areas which are generally suitable for the installation of geothermal systems, according to the current state of knowledge

Abstract

Mit der Darstellung von hydrothermalen Reservoirs in Österreich soll ein Überblick über jene Gebiete gegeben werden, die sich laut aktuellem Stand des Wissens generell für die Installation geothermischer Anlagen eignen (Hydrothermale Reservoirs), jene geologische Formationen die sich aufgrund dem Hinweis auf ein nicht ausreichend produktives oder zu kaltes Reservoir vermutlich nur lokal eignen (potenzielle Vorkommen) und Gebiete, die sich aufgrund zu geringer Datenlage oder dem Hinweis auf ein nicht ausreichend durchlässiges oder zu kaltes Reservoir nur bedingt für die geothermische Nutzung eignen (einzelne Vorkommen möglich).The presentation of hydrothermal reservoirs in Austria is intended to provide an overview of those areas which, according to the current state of knowledge, are generally suitable for the installation of geothermal plants (in the dataset labeled as "Hydrothermale Reservoirs"), those geological formations which are probably only suitable locally due to the indication of an insufficiently productive or too cold reservoir (in the dataset labeled as "potenzielle Vorkommen") and areas which are only conditionally suitable for geothermal use due to insufficient data or the indication of an insufficiently permeable or too cold reservoir (in the dataset labeled as "einzelne Vorkommen möglich")
