Feeding the Incarcerated

Abstract

The project is a basic outline of how the mental health of prisoners and the nutritional value of prison food is impacted by budget constraints. Nutritional value and quality of the food provided to incarcerated individuals impacts them physically and mentally. Research shows that budget constraints impact the quality and nutritional value of the food. This project focused on necessary improvements to the food quality while keeping the budget low and cost-effective. The outcome of this project is to make a difference with the nutrition and budget of the food being supplied for incarcerated individuals
