[NCACC Keynote] Innovation, Fidelity & Pragmatism in Overdose Response

Abstract

This keynote talk covers 3 defining characteristics of the public health opioid overdose response in North Carolina: Innovation Fidelity Pragmatism Innovtion describes the 2-decade history of adapting interventions to local context, and creating new ones based out of our experience in NC. Fidelity is staying true to the scientific evidence and the people we serve. Pragmatism is a synthesis of how these concepts come together at Remedy Alliance For The People. In closing we review current trends in overdose deaths in the United States
