Trudne sąsiedztwo. Wybrane aspekty stosunków polsko-białoruskich w latach 1991–2014

Abstract

This article is an attempt to capture and present several selected aspects of Polish-Belarusian relations, which significantly determined the relations between the countries in the years 1991–2014. The text takes into account the construction of the foundations of mutual Polish-Belarusian relations, the rise of Alexander Lukashenko to power and the consolidation of his regime, the reactions of Poland and the European Union to the situation in Belarus, and the successes and failures of joint ventures (individual or within the OSCE and EU). Particular attention is paid to the so-called critical dialogue between Poland and Belarus.Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę uchwycenia i przedstawienia kilku wybranych aspektów stosunków polsko-białoruskich, które w znaczącym stopniu determinowały relacje między państwami w latach 1991–2014. W tekście uwzględniono budowę podstaw wzajemnych relacji polsko-białoruskich, dojście do władzy Alaksandra Łukaszenki i konsolidację jego reżimu, reakcje Polski i Unii Europejskiej na sytuację na Białorusi oraz sukcesy i porażki wspólnych przedsięwzięć (indywidualnych, czy też w ramach OBWE i UE).
