Detection of thermal losses and thermal bridges by infrared thermography

Abstract

This paper points out the importance of using modern technologies, such as infrared thermography, in the design, construction and maintenance of buildings in order to increase the energy efficiency of buildings. In addition to increasing energy efficiency, a very important role is played by collected data, which as such are used for calculations, analyzes and reports and represent a basis for improving thermal insulation products, construction details, methods of construction, design and maintenance of buildings. With its progress, modern construction achieves faster and more efficient construction, which is followed by high requirements for reducing energy consumption. For this reason, infrared thermography has proven to be a reliable test method in the monitoring of uncontrolled energy losses
