The genome sequence of the Common Wainscot moth, Mythimna pallens Linnaeus, 1758

Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Mythimna pallens (the Common Wainscot moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 719.10 megabases. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.33 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 18,343 protein-coding genes.Copyright: © 2024 Holt S et al.
