Analysis of physical activity behavior and cardiopulmonary fitness in healthy and cancer-diseased Breast Cancer Gen 1 and 2 germline mutation carriers in a randomized controlled lifestyle intervention feasibility trial (LIBRE-1 pilot study)

Abstract

Breast Cancer Gen 1 and 2 (BRCA1/2) mutation carriers have an increased risk of developing breast cancer. According to studies, this risk might be influencend by physicial activity. Until now, randomized controlled trials investigating the impact of a training intervention on physical activity behavior in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers are missing. This substudy analysis of the LIBRE-1 pilot study examined the influence of a 12-months training intervention on physical activity behavior and cardiopulmonary fitness in BRCA1/2 mutation carriers
