A relational database for computer assisted documentation of medical products

Abstract

Die Zulassung von Medizinprodukten unterliegt strengen Auflagen. Diese Auflagen nehmen in Komplexität stetig zu. Die nötigen Dokumentationen zeigen gravierende Mängel hinsichtlich Qualität und Konsistenz. Durchgeführte Untersuchungen ergaben, dass hauptsächlich Text- und Tabellenverarbeitungsprogramme eingesetzt werden. Diese Arbeit setzt sich zum Ziel die Komplexität der Dokumentation durch relationale Modellierung abzubilden und in ein Softwaretool zu übertragen.The approval of medical devices is subject to strict documentation requirements. These requirements are increasing in complexity, whereby studies show that necessary documentation exhibits serious shortcomings in terms of quality and consistency. A study carried out has shown that manufacturers mainly utilize text and table processing programs. This work aims to model the complexity of the documentation of medical devices through relational modeling and to transfer these into a software tool
