Abstract

This is volume one of a collection of two volumes of this title. This book belongs to the John Miller Burnam Classics library. This book is important to the library since it was a personal copy of the Professor Burnam and has a handwritten inscription by him on the front endpaper page of the text block. This book is not handled frequently. This is a full reddish brown leather binding with six raised bands. There is no decoration on the covers. The spine is gold tolled in between the raised bands with flora motifs and the title stamped in gold. The board edges are also tolled with gold decoration. The text block is composed of several gatherings sewn through the fold on six raised double cords. The edges of the text block are trimmed and undecorated, stamped with a red library stamp.View Catalog Record: http://uclid.uc.edu/record=b144113
