[Breviary leaf : Proper of the Saints : St. Saturnin and St. Andrew] : Preservation Lab Treatment Report

Abstract

This is a vellum half folio from a medieval manuscript entitled Breviary, according to the dealer’s catalog. It came to the Lab housed, yet unattached or supported, in a double window matting system with a decorative gold border on the recto. This matting system is hinged together with a shiny, white tape and has graphite inscriptions of the mat measurements, along with a vendor label (“Charles Edwin Puckett”) adhered to the inside of the mat. No treatment is needed at this time; however, a more supportive and protective matting system is needed for future exhibition and long-term storage of this half folio.View Catalog Record: http://uclid.uc.edu/record=b799755
