using the tiktok application for early childhood development

Abstract

Technology is pushing human civilization to become more advanced, because of this technological progress, various social media have emerged that help people interact with other people. One of the viral social media applications that is currently commonly used by the public is TikTok. There are more than ten million users of this TikTok application in Indonesia, dominated by children or elementary school students. From this it can be seen that the TikTok application is a superior application and attracting the interest of generation Z. This research focuses on the use of social media TikTok which is proportional to children's language skills. The research method uses literature by utilizing articles on websites and online newspapers, social media, books and twenty-one articles published in national journals and five published in international journals. The results of the research show that there are two factors that influence children to acquire language skills, namely biological factors and social environmental factors. Apart from that, it can be seen that when children play TikTok videos, children imitate how they speak, body movements, behavior and how they dress
