Impact of Pandemic on the U.S. Economy

Abstract

As the Covid-19 Global Pandemic wreaked havoc in the health systems of the world especially in the developed nations of the world, the economy has suffered an equivalent damage if not more. With the economy going through the third wave of the pandemic, little is known about what the pandemic has in store for the future. Hence, in this paper we strive to analyses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economic aspects of the nation and the financial markets by analyzing various elements such as unemployment, tourism activities, monetary policy, and other policy responses. It is concluded that all the activities have had a severe negative impact on the economy and have led to greater uncertainty in the nation during the first two waves of the pandemic
