publisher[概要] 十九世紀から二十世紀への変わり目にかけて数々の放射線が発見された. 本論は, その発見ラッシュの裏面史および文化史としての論考である. 科学は合理的かつ理性的な営みであると考えられている. しかし, この時期, つまり現代物理科学の勃興期にあって同時に興隆したのはその対極にあると目される非合理的で非理性的であるとされる思潮と社会現象の数々であった. 本論では, 中でも放射線との関連が深いと目される項目について考察する.　　　　　　　　　　[Abstract] Several radio rays were discovered at the changing point of the era from the ending of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century.　This article is a disquisition about the inside and cultural history of the discovery rash of the new radio rays. Science is thought of as a rational and a reasonable activity. However, as the modern physical science developed, irrational and unreasonable thoughts and the social phenomena emerged at the same time on the contrary.　We will consider these topics that have close relations with the radio rays phenomena in this article
