Outcomes in flexible ureteroscopy with and without fluoroscopy in a high complexity hospital

Abstract

Kidney stones represent a public health problem due to their high rate of recurrence and work disability in young adults, with substantial economic consequences. The use of fluoroscope in intraoperative management has played an integral role during the performance of flexible endoscopic ureterolithotomy (ULEF), allowing the identification of residual stones, characterizes the renal anatomy and allows the verification of the location of guides, catheters and ureteral sleeves
