The influence of photoperiodical regime on the development of winter wheats, grown in non-vernalisable temperatures

Abstract

13 winter wheat varieties sown in middle of the summer were subjected to short and long day. The aim was to see if the short day might replace the requirement of cold (vernalisation). The result was that only two varieties were enhanced in their development by short day. Five were promoted by long day, one was indifferent and four remainen vegetative
