Construction of fieldwork-based learning - to involve and connect students

AA12939280In recent years, many universities have begun to offer fieldwork-based learning as a liberal arts course that is open to all students. Despite the high educational effectiveness, teachers are also faced with the problem of how to involve students who have little motivation for the region nor its research with the fieldwork. With the prospect of collecting examples of other teachers' efforts, I present my trials and tribulations in this paper, including "field clips", "field comics", "pre-research", " handover PBL" and "fail-able PBL". From those trials and errors I can extract "three connections" to involve students with fieldwork. These are: making connections with residents before the prior learning, connecting prior learning with the previous year's participants' survey results, and connecting deliverables to the online worlddepartmental bulletin pape
