Tabelle S9_Vorkommen von benthischen Foraminiferen in Kernbohrung KB10

Abstract

The Krems Embayment represents the westernmost fully marine depositional environments of the Karpatian and Badenian transgressions in the Central Paratethys. Four deep drill cores were investigated to analyse the bio- and lithostratigraphic, and tectonic relations. The investigated core sections cover the Karpatian Laa Formation and the Badenian Grund Formation. This dataset contains the counting data of picked benthic foraminifera from drill core KB10. Despite of this, aliquots (splits) for the calculation of the total amounts of ocurring benthic foraminiferal species are given. Samples were washed, dried and split into managable aliquots. These were picked completely for foraminifera and the number of each benthic foraminiferal species was counted. Dry weight data of samples can be found in Table S1_SedData_KB10.csv.The publication of these data is part of the GK 50/25 geological mapping program. The data serve as a base for several scientific papers, geological maps, and explanatory reports dealing with the paleontology, sedimentology, or tectonic development of the area around Krems in Lower Austria
