Waqf was an Islamic philanthropy which can be an alternative to equalize
welfare and reduce poverty. This instrument had considerable potential in
Indonesia. The potential for waqf land or the potential for waqf for productive waqf
is enormous. However, it was unfortunate that the collection has not been
maximally utilized. Awareness and understanding of waqf in productive waqf was
currently inadequate and we still think that waqf can only be done in the form of
immovable assets.
This study was aimed to analyze internal factors (religiosity, knowledge,
education, income), external factors (regulation, compliance with sharia,
institutional credibility, institutional accountability), waqf attitudes, waqif
decisions in waqf. Apart from that, it also aims to describe the characteristics of
Wakif respondents who come from Dompet Dhuafa Republika. The method used
to process data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) -PLS version 3.0. The data
was obtained by distributing questionnaires online to Wakif Dompet Dhuafa
Republika and the company's primary data in the past year.
The results showed that the character of the respondents in this study was
dominated by male respondents with a percentage of 55.45%, with an age range of
20-50 years of 76.6%, having an educational background of S1/S2/S3 of 94.55%,
having a job that dominated by private employees of 78.18%, and the average
income is in the range of IDR 3 million to IDR IDR 6 million by 50.91%.
Characteristics of respondents who have great potential for productive endowments
are respondents who are male, graduate from undergraduate education (S1), work
as private employees, and have income levels ranging from Rp. 3 million to Rp. 6
million.
This study also shows that income has a positive and significant effect on
waqf attitudes for waqf, and the credibility of institutions also has a positive and
significant effect on waqif decisions for productive waqf. Thus, it can be concluded
that the increase in the collection of funds for productive waqf is significantly
influenced by the income and credibility of the institution
