Software is everywhere, from cell phones to large military systems. According to the National Academy of Science [1], “... software is not merely an essential market commodity but, in fact, embodies the economy’s production function itself. ” The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) estimates that software errors cost the U.S. economy 59.5billionayearandsoftwaresalesaccountedfor180 billion [2].
