A Large Ion Collider Experiment (ALICE) is designed to explore the physics of strongly interacting matter under the extreme conditions of high energy density at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), including the creation and study of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) - a state of matter whose existence is predicted by Quantum Chromodynamics. In November 2010 the first Pb–Pb collisions data were collected at TeV. In this report we present some major results from this Pb–Pb run and the ongoing physics analysis
