A parallel continuation algorithm for nonlinear eigenvalue problems

Abstract

AbstractWe describe a parallel continuation algorithm for the numerical treatment of certain semilinear eigenvalue problems with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The computations were executed on a TRANSPUTER, a distributed memory multiprocessor. The numerical results show that our algorithm is quite competitive, and may be applied to various nonlinear eigenvalue problems
