In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Murata-Kamiya and colleagues (Murata-Kamiya et al., 2010) report that the gastric pathogen Helicobacter pylori uses the plasma membrane component phosphatidylserine to facilitate translocation of the CagA virulence factor into host cells to establish a successful infection
