AbstractStrolling along Riau Street and shopping in Factory Outlet are major attraction to the visitor as well as to the small-scale entrepreuner for the urban spectacle and business opportunity being suggested. This paper will discuss the informal activities that constitute urban spectacle on the pedestrian ways in front of the Factory Outlet, and the spatio-temporal arrangement being created through human activities and commodity transaction. Further on the paper will summarize the physical and emotional aspect of urban spaces in attracting people and creating pleasurable experiences
