    AbstractLet A be an n × n irreducible matrix and λ be an eigenvalue of A. We obtain some necessary and sufficient conditions for λ to be a boundary point of the Cassini oval inclusion region of the eigenvalues of A. These results correct a classical result of A. Brauer
