Abstract

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is involved in the formation of the body plan, tissue remodeling, and cancer progression. Two recent reports in Science (Barrios-Rodiles et al., 2005; Ozdamar et al., 2005) have decisively advanced our understanding of EMT. Par6 was identified as a key player in the control of tight junction (TJ) stability.
