Abstract

The Arts Foundation supports emerging talent in the Arts. Whether exploring new avenues or consolidating existing work this £10,000 fellowship has proved crucial in the success of many award winners. The Award enabled Andrew to develop his work in new areas. Research included, independent study and investigation into alloying of precious metals, through reading, practical testing and application. He also attended an intensive five day course with the master goldsmith Giovanni Corvaja in Todi, Italy. New jewellery including ‘Lenticular’ brooches were assembled using thousands of wire ‘pixels’ and exhibited at Flow Gallery, London from December 2011 to January 2012. He will also be exhibiting these at SOFA- The Annual International Exposition of Sculpture Objects & Functional Art in New York - April 2012
