Abstract

The 1990’s have brought fundamentally changes in the political, social and economic sphere of the Central and Eastern European countries. The transition process set deep changes off on several areas of economy, so agriculture too. Based on statistical data of Hungary (HCSO) and Russia (GKS) the paper shows the changes of agricultural structure in both counties during the transition, analyses that which tendencies affected during the fifteen years after the transition.
