On the way to service productivity guidelines: Future scenarios 2020, good practices and recommendations of action

Abstract

Productivity of services is still a very challenging topic for the economy and also for the research community. The German strategic partnership "productivity of services" and its eight work groups are working on productivity guidelines on specific topics. They are planned to be published in 2012. This paper aims to show results of the on-going work. It starts with an introduction about the background and initial situation to give an orientation; then the paper describes challenges around service productivity and gives a short view on the service productivity guidelines and the related topics of productivity scenarios 2020 and instruments
