Abstract
Current robotic research offers plenty of innovative technologies and approaches - e.g. for navigation, manipulation or sensor data processing - that allow the automation industry to develop new applications, to master complex challengesand to open new markets. This tutorial shows a possible approach to connect the two domains, thus enabling communication between programmable logic controllers and the linux-based Robot Operating System
