Um diálogo entre as representações sociais e as representações midiáticas da cantora Britney Spears

Abstract

O presente trabalho trás uma reflexão sobre as Representações Sociais que perpassam a sociedade e são potencializadas pelos meios de comunicação, por meio de seus processos. Neste sentido, tem-se como pressuposto a centralidade da mídia no contexto social e o entendimento desta como precursora de Representações Sociais. O encantamento social pela figura da celebridade demonstra mais um patamar das Representações Sociais vinculadas aos meios de comunicação. Assim, a pesquisa é de caráter exploratório e fez uso interdisciplinar de metodologias da Psicologia e da Comunicação, para identificar as Representações Sociais, a identidade e as Representações Midiáticas da celebridade e cantora Britney Spears. Os principais resultados indicam que as Representações Sociais da cantora circulam aspectos relacionados à música e a polêmica, sua identidade está vinculada à música e a beleza e as representações midiáticas apontam para a construção de um discurso que incorpora a música, beleza e situações polêmicas.This paper proposes a reflection about the Social Representations that are imbued in society and how they are strengthened by our means of communication, through their processes. This way, we hold it as an assumption the centrality of the media in a social context and the understanding that the media is the precursor of the Social Representations. The social enchantment with the figure of the celebrity shows another level of Social Representations related to the means of communication. Thus, this research is explanatory and makes the interdisciplinary use of methodologies from the field of Psychology and Communications to identify the Social Representations, the identity, and the Media Representations of the celebrity and the singer Britney Spears. The main results show that the Social Representations of the singer revolve around her music and her scandals, that is, her identity is related to music and beauty and the media representations show the construction of a discourse that incorporates music, beauty and polemical situations
