Cultural visions of urban morphology

By Milton Montejano Castillo

As has been indicated in recent years, for the
first time in the history of mankind, more than half
of the world´s population lives in cities, and the
tendency is increasing. In this situation, many
questions arise, not only regarding the cities´
load capacities, but also regarding the transition
of the cities and the new forms that they adopt,
without forgetting the preservation of the ancient
cities that are immersed in urban areas. These
are some of the concerns that are explored in this
fourth volume of the Journal Gremium, dedicated
to the subject of Urban Morphology, which is
placed at the consideration of our distinguished
readers from a selection of articles from different
cultural visions and spaces.</p
