General Ferdinand Foch, a Frenchman, served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Armies in WWI. After the war, General Foch toured the United States, visiting select cities across the country. Because of the status of Indianapolis as the headquarters of the American Legion, the general spent a day in the city, where he was welcomed with a grand, celebratory parade.Appears in Destination Indiana
