Douglas A-4 Skyhawks on the U.S.S. Roosevelt

Abstract

From August 1966 to January 1967, the Roosevelt made her only deployment to Southeast Asia. She spent 95 days "on the line" as her air wing, CVW-1, consisting mainly of F-4 Phantom IIs and A-4 Skyhawks, struck enemy targets. The Roosevelt received one battle star for her service in Vietnam
