Delavan Smith

Abstract

Delavan Smith was publisher of the Indianapolis News for 30 years. His publishing motto was "The greatest good for the greatest number of people." He also had business interests in the Merganthaler Corporation, the Oliver Typewriter Company and the Cox Multi-Mailer Company.
