Tornado, New Albany, Indiana, March 23, 1917
Abstract
On March 23, 1917, one of the deadliest tornadoes in Indiana’s history struck New Albany, killing 45 people and destroying over 300 buildings in town. The tornado moved through 90 blocks on the north side of town and cost over $1,000,000 in damage.Floyd County JourneSimilar works
