Vansickle Mill at Mahalasville, Indiana

Abstract

The Mahalasville post office was begun in 1854, by Jacob Vansickle, who named it for his wife, Mahala. He was the first postmaster and she the second. They also owned the Vansickle Mill pictured here. Located on the rail line, Mahalasville thrived and declined with the railroad.Morgan County Journe
