Proturen (Arthropoda, Insecta) als Bioindikatoren der Bodendiagnostik und anthropogen bedingter Umweltveraenderungen

Abstract

The potential role of protures as a bioindicator for soil diagnostics and anthropogenically caused environmental changes has been studied investigating at the same time protura distribution in Lower Saxony. Samples were taken from different forest soils, and protura extraction was carried out using the high gradient cylinder extraction method of Macfadyen. Soil arthropod populations were compared with soil types and properties, needle loss of conifers, as well as mycorrhica numbers and vitality. Nine different species of protura were detected including Eosentomon rafalskii. Soil population strongly depends on soil properties. An influence of environmental pollution could not be detected.
