Abstract

In the report is presented analysis of the world's trends of alternative fuels utilization with emphasis to application of ethanol and other biofuels. Alternative engine fuels including biomass will be during next 30-50years substituted, first in smaller ratio about 10% and in 2040 up to 80%, the engine oil as a row material for engine fuels production. Further part was reserved for laboratory tests with rape oil ethyl-ester combustion in Diesel engine. The rape oil ethyl-ester is suprisingly suitable substitution for methyl-ester.
