The aim is to develop the physical-chemical and mathematical models of the multicomponent extraction and ion exchange systems and to use them for selection of the optimal conditions on the separation and cleaning of REM (III). The basic regularities in the thermodynamics of the phase equilibria in the extraction and ion exchange system containing the REM nitrates have been determined. The general principles of mutual influencing elements have been stated; the mathematical description of the multicomponent systems including quasi-equilibrum processes has been given. The technological schemas on the separation of cerium group REM concentrates, group selection of the middle, heavy REM and yttrium, extraction of the samarium, europium concentrate, erbium, yttrium with use of the systems on base of NFOS and TAMAN have been obtained; the deep cleaning technologies of the REM (III) nitrate solution from checked non-rare-earth impuritaties have been developed.
