Computer modelling of the structure and properties of amorphous alloys based on cobalt

Abstract

Subject of investigation: models of liquid and amorphous alloys Co_1_-_xB_x (x=0,10; 0,185; 0,30). Purpose: complex investigation of structural, thermodynamic and magnetic characteristics, local inhomogeneities of models of liquid and amorphous Co and amorphous alloys Co-B. Made for the first time is modelling of amorphous Co and amorphous alloys Co-B. The work proves that the boron admixture in concentrations of less or equal to 18,5% does not significantly change the structure of subsystem of 3d-metal. It is shown that the Stokes-Einstein relation holds true for liquid Co. For the first time it is indicated that with T approaches 0, the enthropy of amorphous Co and alloy Co_8_1_,_5B_1_8_,_5 significantly differs from zero. So, the Planck postulate is not applicable to these substances. It is proved that the model of thermal oscillations of atoms relative to the stationary positions of equilibrium well complies with the results of the molecular dynamics method in case of amorphous metals and alloys at not very high temperaturesAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
