INVESTIGATION OF ELASTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF LITHIUM AND CAESIUM AT HIGH PRESSURES

Abstract

The experimental clearing up of a role of low-frequency phonons at phase transitions of the first kind at the example of lithium and caesium is the aim of the paper. During the investigation chambers of high pressure of type of "piezometer" to 2,5 HPa and "toroid" to 7,0 HPa have been used. As a result effects of cushioning of acoustic modes of phonon spectrum of OTsK-Li, OTsK- and GTsK-Cs before phase transitions in the given matters have been cleared up. New data about a phase diagram of lithium have been obtained.
