THE ECOLOGY AND REPRODUCTIVE PECULIARITIES OF THE RARE ORHIDS OF THE URAL

Abstract

The chorological study of 24 rare species of the orhids of the Urals has been performed, the maps of its areals have been compiled. Investigated have been under the Urals conditions the number, the structure, the dynamics and reproduction of cenopopulations of 8 rare species - ladie's-slipper of the present and large-flower, helleborins of the dolicholeafy and red, purple and casecarrier orchis, bulbillate calypso and the Lezel's liparis. The two species, new for the Urals have been detected, such as insect-bearing ophris and digitiroot yellow-white. For the first time, the peculiarities of the seeds growing and the development of the shoots of the Urals orchids under the conditions of the asymbiotic and symbiotic culture in vitro have been investigated.
