By Pavel Stanislavovich Tomkovich

Abstract

As a result of the complex study of species, the ecological and historical reasons of the modern character of spreading of the sandpipers on all stages of the annual cycle have been stablished, the most vulnerability of these birds in the places of concentration on the migrations and winter places has been revealed. Fot the first time, the correspondence of the modern appearance of the different forms of the multivariety in the subfamily to the territoreal differences of the landscape-clamatic reconstructions of the glacial epoch of the placetocene has been established. The principles and approaches to the preservation of the sanpipers multivariety have been developed. The results of the work have been used in creation of the three especially protected natural territories, at the preparation of the 2nd issue of the Red Book.Available from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
