Abstract

The biotic communities of the ungulate animals have been investigated with a view to revealing the principles of organisation and mechanisms, determining its functioning in the island forest of the Russian forest-steppe. Using the actual material, the reality of existence of the biotic communities of the ungulate animals as the suprapopulation level of organisation, has been proved in the island forests of the Central Chernozemje. The composition, structure and the dynamics of the communities have been described.
