BORON INTERACTION WITH FAULTS IN CRYSTAL LATTICE OF IRON AND ITS INFLUENCE ON FORMATION OF STRUCTURE AND OF PROPERTIES OF IRON-CARBON-BORON ALLOYS

Abstract

There the study objects are the alloys of iron-carbon-boron. The purpose is to ascertain the influence mechanisms of structure distinctions of solid solution and of boron interaction with the faults in the crystal lattice on the difffusion processes and on the structural transformations in the low-carbon iron.The tendency of boron to the segregation at the dislocations has been ascertained.The influence of boron on the recrystallization and on the strengthening of iron has been brought out. The phenomenological model of diffusion of boron in the iron has been offered. The duty of process variables of recrystallization annealings of cold-deformed iron alloys microalloyed by the boron has been presented. The rational regimes of thermic treatment of boron-containing steels have been developed.
