Collisional transfer of vibrational energy at excitation of polyatomic molecules by co*002-laser radiation

Abstract

The paper is concerned with multiphoton molecules. The aim is to investigate the collisional transfer processes of vibrational energy at high levels of vibrational excitation in the polyatomic molecules. It has been shown that in quasi-continuum of vibrational states the fraction of energy transfered beyond collision is increased together with vibrational energy, but the transfer efficiency gets on the saturation. The obtained values are far lesser than the values usually used in the theory of monomolecular reactions. The direct approach for determining collisional transfer velocity of vibrational energy has been developed at high initial vibrational energies of molecules. It has been based on the characteristics analysis of the moderated luminescence activated by CO*002-laser radiationAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
