Independent pulse discharge in helium of atmospheric pressure

Abstract

The study deals with processes of hydrodynamics and heat exchange in the core and sectional collector of VG-400 and VGM reactors. The aim is to study hydrodynamics in the core of a prototype reactor, unsteady temperature fields of sectional collector structures. The engineering method of calculating temperature pulsations of collector structural elements, the method of experimental study of filled medium hydrodynamics are proposed and substantiated. Mixing of flows in the VGM reactor collector is first studied; a block diagram of the collector is proposed meeting the requirements of minimum temperature inhomogeneities of the flow at the outlet of the collector with allowable value of its hydrodynamic resistance. Data on temperature pulsation of VG-400 reactor supporting column is received. The study results are used in designing the sectional collector of VG-400 and VGM reactora and in selection of the technique of measuring velocities in the model of VTGR.
