FILTRATION PROPERTIES OF PEATS WITH NATURAL STRUCTURE AND THEIR CHANGEABILITY AT DIFFERENT PROCESS ACTIONS

Abstract

There the study objects are the peat deposits near the Porshinets station, near the Sukhoverkovo-Yemel'yanovskoye.The purpose are to study the changeability of filtration properties of peats with the natural structure as well as to change them under the influence of different process actions, to develop the recommendations for the rate raising of dewatering of peat occurences. The methods and the apparatus for the determination of coefficient of filtration and of water yield have been developed; the change mechanisms of filtration properties both within the types and within the kinds have been brought out; the change mechanisms of filtration coefficient of separate kinds depending on the physical-stress-strain properties have been ascertained. The mechanisms of spatial-time changeability have been brought out. The new developed method is recommended for the determination of coefficient of filtration and of water yield under the field conditions. If there is the initial coefficient of porosity there may to find the filtration coefficient for the different kinds of peats by the obtained regression equations and by the nomograms. The study results have been transfered in the design-exploration institutes for the designing, for the building and for the operation of dewatering system, have been introduced in the educational process of Tver Polytechnical Institute. The application fields are the Radchenkotorf NTS, the Giprotorf and other scientific and design centres of peat industry, the colleges with the specialities of peat type etcAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
